The purpose of this mid-year review is to provide community colleges an opportunity to share what's happening around Career and Technical Education at their community college.
Each college has 10-15 minutes to report on the progress of their basic grant including how the funds made a difference, how they conducted the comprehensive local needs assessment (CLNA) and addressed the six elements of the CLNA, and share a CTE promising practice. Questions will follow each presentation.
Colleges can present using PowerPoint, or provide a written outline. In the "2019-20 Perkins IV to Perkins V Transition Year" Moodle, upload the PowerPoint file or presentation outline to the assignment entitled "Submit PowerPoint or Outline for Mid-Year Review." The PowerPoint or outline is due five days before the college presents.
Following all of the presentations, the state Perkins staff will share the process for completing the Perkins application for future funding and how to write the local plan and budget.
The presentations will begin each day at 8 AM and conclude by 1 PM. Snacks will be provided.
